Part-time Arts and Craft Tutor for ‘Young Mums To Be’ group

  • Main role was to plan and deliver weekly lessons; also assist students with the presentation and content of their final projects.

January 2006 to March ‘06 – a-n, The Artists Information Company

Commission for a one day artists’ event, held in March

  • Co-ordinated the programme of events and collated an information pack for a networking trip for artists visiting Scarborough from the North East. Involved organising the itinerary; contacting speakers; planning route complete with maps; scheduling lunch venue for 60 artists and transport.

November 2005 to December ‘05 – Training for Real, Chrysalis Arts & CREATE

Ten-day Public Art Training Placement

  • A ten-day placement creating a series of site specific temporary installations as part of Scarborough’s Festival of Light. This culminated in [drift] - a collaborative film, sound and light installation at Woodend Museum, Scarborough.

Short-term work placement as Gallery Co-ordinator at arts organisation

  • Responsibilities involved organising the exhibitions programme for the gallery; arranging official openings and preview nights; co-ordinating publicity material (posters, flyers, invites etc) and promotion of these events; hanging and displaying exhibitions; maintaining the artist database.
